A couple of ways to cut up beats using a Looplayer (or) Sdelay and using a Mixer as a gate effect with external Midi control.

Note: This example is meant to work with an external midi control source/ sequencer - such as my free SpectroLFO app (v0.5, Mac only at this time - get it at: http://minus.com/m6uucQsAP#1 ) with the included preset file loaded. There are also a couple of video tutorials there to get you started...
