Revolve was recorded live in my apartment. Every song was recorded in real time with no pre-recorded loops. Audiomulch was used for recording every song, and the stems were then mixed in Pro Tools.
All songs except Summer Dress, 5.59, and Slow Leak used Audimulch's LiveLooper contraption for looping. Slow Leak used a modified mlr (monome app) for looping. and Summer Dress and 5.59 have no loops.
The album can best (and most vaguely) be described as "alternative," with noticeable Radiohead and Pink Floyd influences. Howevery, it is very "jam" based in that all solos are improvised. Instrumentation includes electric and acoustic guitars, electronic drums, piano, synthesizers, drum pads, auxilary percussion and vocals.
