Minor graphic bug. On recalling a saved project, and seemingly at random, I'll get modules moved way over to the side in the patcher, apart from the position it was saved in.
Looks like this:
Happens often, but I've not yet noticed a pattern to the behaviour. Running latest release on WinXP SP3.
Yep I've seen that happen once. Please let me know if you work out any pattern to it (a certain sequence of operations etc). Or if it always happens with a specific document (in which case, could you please send me the document?). Thanks -- Ross.
I've had that happen also but shrugged it off. I'll also keep in mind if it happens with a specific doc.
This should be fixed in 2.0.2.
I found that if you drag a contraption into the document, release the mouse. Then drag the contraption and connect it into another contraption, then save. Then close and reopen the document you will get this behavior. I fixed this case.
Its possible that something else might cause this too but for now I'll consider it fixed.
Those steps sound like how I add contraptions generally, so in all likelihood it's fixed.
I'll post back if it happens anew.
I got 2.0.3 got same problem, sometimes the patches (usually when copy and paste) appear far away from other patches.
Since this is an interface problem, for fixing this Id suggest adding a grid to the patchers menu with an absolute (0,0) so all new things would get pastet right on that spot. Being able to scroll by pressing down the middle mouse button and moving the mouse would be extremely useful when using a huge patch tree or having the automation and properties open at the same time.
PS: with a grid, you could also go snap patch to grid to keep order, you dont wanna see my patches....
